Danish Easter lunch at Inari Glean!!

Happy Easter!!!
This year the peak of the cherry blossoms and the Western tradition, Easter, happened at the exact same time. We therefore hosted the Easter event on the 3rd and 4th of April to have the best of both cultures.

We decided to do a last collaboration event with Alex and his YouTube channel Dining with Alex before he returns back to the cold Denmark.
The event was this time a traditional Danish Easter lunch held over the course of two days with everything from homemade ryebread to Danish akvavit (strong liquor served from Christmas lunch and Easter lunch in Denmark).

The lunch was a two and a half hour event where we started serving people the cold dishes which were then followed up with the warm ones afterwards.

Cold dishes menu:
Various coloured eggs with different cream cheese topping
Eggs with shrimps and mayo
Cold potato salad
Regular salad
Danish egg salad
Salami and ham
Tuna mousse

Warm dishes menu:
Tarteletter with white asparagus and chicken
Fish fillet with homemade remoulade
Danish meat balls
Roasted potatoes and carrots
Danish homemade liver pate

Dessert:
Homemade lemon sakura tarts

All the dishes were served with homemade ryebread, white bread and baguettes.
The guests not only had all the food they could eat, they also got two drinks included and if interested, then a shot of Danish akvavit which is great to drink along with eggs.
